Sarah Palin's Alaska Should NOT Be Cancelled -- It's Great TV & Brilliant Marketing!

You’ve got to be kidding me!! Back when I first heard about this show, I just shook my head and with a deep sigh decided that I was NOT going to watch it. If there is anyone out there that does not see this for what it is, a political ploy, then you are about as naïve as they come. Sarah Palin is on a mission, a mission of damage control from her own naivety at what it really meant to be chosen as a Vice Presidential Candidate for this country. As soon as the last show has aired, she’ll be right back out there in the political arena again because that’s where she loves to be. Sarah Palin is a loose cannon and she’s dangerous.

Seven States To Raise Minimum Wage For 2011

It is impossible not to pick up on at least a bit of sarcasm in your posts. I’ve read through the thread here a couple of times before posting. I noted that in your very first post you said “was” in past tense about being in the military. Thank you so much for serving! There are a lot of ‘us’ out here. I served from Sep 78 – Feb 82, didn’t get the assignment I wanted, ETS’d and went to Alaska and reupped serving from Aug 83 - Sep 87 when I decided I wanted to go back to the lower 48. Same thing, let my contractual obligation expire, jumped a plane and raised my hand in Texas. Served there from Dec 87 until I got hurt and got a final discharge in Dec 90. I’ve got a number of friends still over there is Iraq, some are on third and forth tours. Some of your comments are thought provoking about those years I served, wouldn’t trade any of them or the friends I made. Since I don’t personally know you I can’t tell if you’re bragging or complaining. Maybe you’ve earned the badge but you’re looking for the chest to pin it on. Not everyone is cut out to serve, the cost of living here in this country is ridiculous and I’m thankful for the benefits I’ve earned. I wouldn’t survive without some of them.

'Sarah Palin's Alaska' NOT Renewed For Second Season: Report

I have never been a fan of Sarah Palin, however my dislike for the woman plummeted when she resigned her Governorship early and has declined almost as steadily as her paycheck went up. While serving in the Military, I lived in Anchorage AK from 83-87, loved every minute there. She didn’t even enter politics until about five years after I had shipped out.

Regarding her show, I banned it from my house immediately, choosing to make not even the smallest of contributions toward the ratings. I am more than happy that it will not be renewed. I’ve never purchased any of her books because I believe the entire rationale behind both are nothing more than attempts to change her image to those she hopes will be her constituents in 2012.

If she had naturally progressed through various other political offices, she may not have presented herself in such a state of what I call ‘knowledgeable disarray’ when scrutinized by the media. But then again she might have decided that the political arena isn’t exactly up to her personal expectations. Regardless of the source, Sarah Palin has always been portrayed as a ‘trailblazer’ by some accounts and a ‘maverick’ by others, titles I would not bestow upon her; but that’s my personal opinion. I think that her supporters hoped that through her books and this reality show, she could perhaps mend the persona of the ‘not ready for prime time player’ that was so readily shown on too many occasions.
